City and Guilds 2391-20 Design and Verification of Electrical Installations

Course Details

This qualification is required for qualifying managers. If you are responsible for designing installations, this course is for you! - Structure and setting of BS7671 - Determine design criteria for electrical installations - Maximum demand - Diversity - Discrimination - Cable calculation - Wiring systems Testing is assumed to have taken place under the City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing course. Assessment: - External assessment via a three hour written examination - Project via coursework - Practical assessment via simulated test rig. (Accreditation for Prior Learning is available if the Inspection and Testing course has been completed.) Materials needed: BS7671; Guidance Notes 1 and 3.

Qualifications required:
CGLI 2360 Part 2 or equivalent and CGLI 2391 Inspection and Testing. This course is technically demanding and the entry requirements are the minimum that are acceptable.

Course length:
18 week course. 12 weeks in College, one evening per week.
