The course has been designed for Mechanical and Production Engineering craftsmen and women who require a greater level of understanding and/or competence in the following areas: Working safely and effectively Engineering principles and practices Principles of Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering Turning Milling Detailed Fitting You will undertake both practical and theoretical aspects of engineering as part of an integrated syllabus.

You should normally have completed CGLI 6983 Applying Engineering Principles Level 2 or have equivalent qualifications or experience.

On satisfactory completion of the course you may register with the City and Guilds of London Institute and after a further career extension apply for the CGLI Lecentiateship.
