Course Details
This course is ideally suited to people working in industry who wish to develop new skills or want to work at a more advanced level. Prior knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) or computing is useful but not essential. If you have had little or no experience of Computer Aided Design, then the basic Two Dimensional (2D) course could suit you. On the City and Guilds 4353-01 Level Two course you will learn how to produce accurate 2D drawings using AutoCAD. This course has a high practical element, that blends learning to use new technologies and working towards a recognised Computer Aided Design qualification naturally. You will need to pass two practical assignments and a multi-choice online exam. Hull College has invested heavily in CAD software, and students will have access to AutoCAD 2009 and SolidWorks.

All of our CAD courses are Industry recognised. A minimum of 90% of your time will be spent gaining hands on experience. The college has invested in a Rapid Prototype Printer used in all types of industry to produce models from CAD drawings.

This is a parametric modelling course for those with experience in 3D surface and solid modelling.
