Course description
This course is a continuation from Level 2 and this gives the student the Level 3 qualification to become a basic trained electrician or who would like to be employed in the electrical contracting industry.

Successful completion of this qualification will meet the underpinning knowledge requirements of the Electrical Contracting Industry (JIB) 1999 Apprenticeship Training Scheme.

Course Structure
The course is the third year of the 2330 Level 2 course and is offered on part-time day attendance over 36 weeks

To be awarded the Level 3 certificate, candidates must have successfully completed the Level 2 and pass 2 practical tests with written exams and 1 on-line theory exam.

Course Entry Requirements
All learners will need to complete an application and interview prior to enrolling.

Applicants must have achieved the Level 2 City & Guilds 2330.

Course Progression
Successful candidates can progress towards the achievement of an NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation Engineering. This is needed to become a graded electrician.
