Level: introduction

Course content:
The course aims to introduce you to counselling, exploring what it is and how you might use it professionally or personally.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Identify â€-what is counselling?'
- Describe the â€-Process of Listening'
- Use the course for personal development
- Identify further training opportunities

Course Structure:
Students will participate in individual and small group exercises and discussions. There is some optional reading as well as one piece of written work at the end of the course.

Course resources:
All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

Assessment:
Self-assessment and tutor feedback.

Fee 1: Standard fee;
Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
