Course content:
A very design-led course aimed at all levels. Complete beginners will be taught all the basic techniques and all students will be encouraged to experiment and develop ideas or work from commercially produced patterns
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Crochet in rows using at least two stitches
-- Crochet motifs using at least two stitches
- Join seams and use different finishing skills
- Identify techniques and use technical language
- Design and make a simple project
- Have the opportunity to share skills and ideas
Course Structure:
Students will work on their own individual projects.. They will be given one to one or small group teaching and at their own pace covering various techniques. They will be given constant guidance. Weekly group demonstrations to introduce new techniques
Course resources:
Tutor will provide handouts and show and tell items. All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

Fee 1: Standard fee;
Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
You DO NOT have to pay a college registration fee for these courses, but you may have to pay for additional course materials.Materials costs:
None. Students need to bring a notebook and A4 folder, basic sewing kit and oddments of DK yarn and 3.00 mm crochet hook
