· Course Overview: · This course will be of interest to anyone intending to enter a career in Hairdressing. This course is made up of various mandatory units which cover the following subject areas: Advise and consult with clients, Shampooing and conditional hair and scalp, Style, dress and finish hair using basic techniques, Cut hair using basic techniques, perming and neutralising hair using basic techniques, Change hair colour using basic techniques, Contribute to effective working relationships, Give clients a positive impression of yourself and your organisation, Ensure your own actions reduce risks to Health and Safety. The course involves substantial class contact which includes tutorial support, workshops, learning support. Self directed study is essential to aid the learning process and you will be expected to undertake a minimum of four hours per week. Courses that may be studied alongside the qualification include: RIPH Salon Hygiene Certificate, VTCT Depilation, VTCT Ear Piercing.
