WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
You will develop in-depth knowledge of the benefits and importance of head massage. In addition to this you will gain confidence and experience through practicing Indian Head Massage.

You will, through assessment and application of Indian Head Massage bring about health and harmony to the shoulder, neck and head.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?
You will study the following subjects:

Practical
Head and Face Massage Techniques
Grounding Exercises

Theory
History
Contra Indications
Benefits
Use of Lubrication for Hair
Insight into Migraine, Sinus, Shoulder, Neck Problems
Chakras and Marma Points
Relevant Anatomy and Physiology
Health and Safety Standards

WHAT ARE MY COMMITMENTS?
You will need to have revised your Anatomy and Physiology and Health & safety in preparations for external tests.
You will need to spend 5 hours per week on coursework completing case studies.
There are 3 case studies and 2 practical assessments (3 treatments each), homework tasks, 1 assignment and 1 test.

WHAT DO I NEED?
WHAT WILL I ACHIEVE?
On successful completion of the course you will be awarded a Diploma in Indian Head Massage from Vocational Training Charitable Trust of the International Institute of Health and Holistic Therapies.

You will also have the competence and confidence to undertake effective Indian Head Massage.

3t703-09 Course fees 530 16-18 year olds, 530(530) 19 years and over

3t705-09 Course fees 0 16-18 year olds, 350(116) 19 years and over

WHAT CAN I DO AFTERWARDS?
Indian Head Therapists work in many areas such as hairdressing salons, spas, hospitals, health clinics or from home. Many also study a further therapy such as Holistic Facial Massage or other healing/complementary therapies.
