Diploma: 1 year flexible delivery with some college attendance. Apprenticeship: 15 months flexible delivery with some college attendance.

Course Content
  • Prepare and monitor sites for planting crops
  • Monitor and maintain health and safety
  • Develop personal performance and maintain working relationships
  • Transport supplies of physical resources within the workplace
  • Prepare and operate a tractor with attachments
  • Maintain equipment and machines

Plus a choice of 3 units which are most relevant to your area of work. Some of the units include:
  • Prepare for planting and plant extensive crops
  • Monitor and maintain the healthy growth of extensive crops
  • Harvest and prepare extensive crops by mechanical means
  • Store harvested crops
  • Carry out habitat management work
  • Construct and maintain structures and surfaces


Assessment Method
Diloma: portfolio of evidence and practical assessment. Apprenticeship: portfolio of evidence, practical assessment and on-line tests.

Sucessful students can progress their career with their employer
