It is mandatory to take a diagnostic IT test prior to enrolling on this course. This will identify your current skills level and upon completion a dedicated tutor will advice whether this course is suitable for your learning needs.

It is based on the ECDL task-based model, and tests an individual's competence at a much higher level with particular applications.

The course content includes:

- Excel Spreadsheets
- Access Databases
- PowerPoint Presentations
- Improving Productivity Using IT
All units need to be undertaken in order to acheive this level 3 certificate.
The course is offered through a flexible attendance mode within the learning centre, or as a distance learning option from home or work. In both cases, support is provided by trained instructors

Assessment and Progression:
The course is structured around the use of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications. All tests are taken at the Learning Centre with an individual assessment for each of the modules.
Candidates are required to undertake the 'Improving Productivity Using IT' module incorporating a work based scenario which will assess skills gained in each of the 4 modules.
