Entry Requirements
Candidates should have a Level 2 qualification, such as CLAIT Plus or ECDL Level 2. In addition, an interview will be required to ensure that candidates possess the IT skills needed to meet the requirements of the qualification.

Suitable For

This course is for those who already possess Intermediate skills such as CLAIT Plus and who want to progress to an Advanced qualification.

Course Content

Candidates who achieve the Compulsory Unit plus two optional units, will be awarded the OCR Level 3 Certificate for IT Users (CLAIT Advanced). Candidates who achieve the Compulsory Unit plus four optional units, will be awarded the OCR Level 3 Diploma for IT Users (CLAIT Advanced). The Compulsory Unit is: Creating an IT Solution. Optional units are: Analysing Spreadsheets & Graphs: Relational Databases: e-Publication Production: Professional e-Presentation: Website Authoring.

Method of Assessment

Assessment is by practical assignments. Units are assessed internally by local assessors before being sent to the awarding body for external assessment.
