Course content:
Learn to speak holiday French and basic, commonly-used French phrases and expressions on this lively and communicative course for complete beginners. Ideal if you are thinking of travelling to France or a French speaking country. Taught in French with emphasis on developing your listening and speaking skills. Based on tutor's own material
By the end of the course students will be able to:
- introduce yourself, say hello and goodbye
- give and ask for basic and personal information
- buy items in shops, talk about quantities and prices
- order food and drinks
- describe places (cities, towns, your house)
- ask for and give directions
- tell the time
- express likes and dislikes
- book into a hotel
- buying tickets, enquiring about departure/arrival times
Course Structure:
Classes typically have about 15-20 students. You may work in groups, in pairs or individually and need to complete homework outside the class. There is an emphasis on student participation in activities. Communicative, functional approach with emphasis on speaking and listening and comprehension activities with audio-visual methods.
Course resources:
You will have access to the Learning Centre in Wandsworth and Tooting. This includes the use of computers, audio-visual equipment and at Wandsworth, our language laboratory

When information is available you will notice 2 different fees stated for this course. The fee you pay is dependent on your status:
Fee 1: Standard fee;
Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
