Students should have an interest in photography, and some computer literacy will be useful, but not essential. The College can supply cameras for the practical elements of the course.

Course Description
A basic, introductory course which will help the learners to better understand the way in which the camera works, give them a basic understanding of Photoshop, and discuss the various elements of a â€-good photograph.
Course Content
Each lesson is a mix of theoretical and practical elements, and will cover topics such as:
- The Camera
- Using Photoshop
- Landscape photography
- Portraiture - on location and in the studio
- Still Life
- Documentary
Method of Assessment
There is no exam, but verbal and written feedback (as appropriate) will be provided. Group discussion is also very much encouraged, so there will also be peer assessment.
Equipment and Additional Costs
A notebook and possibly models/props for practical photography.
