Full time: 1 year, 2 days per week. Part-time: 2 years, 1 day per week.

- Diverse flower and plant care
- Creative design process for florists
- Diverse hand-tieds
- Diverse floral designs for weddings and formal occasions
- Diverse floral arrangements and sympathy designs
- Working in the floristry industry
- Process, cost and evaluate designs

Assessment Method
Each unit will be assessed by practical work and written assignments. At the end of the course there is a final short answer written examination.
Progression Routes
Successful students can progress into higher education with the Higher Diploma in Floristry (HDF) from the Society of Floristry. Alternatively they can pursue a career in the industry.
Specialist Equipment Needed
Students will need to provide their own flowers plus a well stocked tool box and camera to photograph design work. A sketch book is also recommended.
