The course is designed for those students who have a learning difficulty and is aimed at developing a wide range of work related, personal and interpersonal skills. As part of the course students will also receive tuition in literacy and numeracy, developing the skills they will need to move on to further learning.

- Recognise types and parts of the body of small animals
- Assist with catching and restraining small animals
- Check that a small animal is healthy
- Show visitors around small animal enterprise
