About this course

There are no formal entry requirements but applicants need to have minimum Level 1 skills in English. You will be interviewed and will be asked to do an initial assessment to check your level of English. All candidates will be required to have a full CRB check, before they are able to start their work placements.

NVQ Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 2 for Adults
Course Description
This new NVQ has replaced the NVQ Teaching Assistants programme. This course is suitable for people over 19 who wish to get a job working in schools as a Teaching Assistant. A course at this level qualifies you to work in support of others involved in education.
NVQs are made up of separate units. There are seven units to complete to achieve the qualification. You will need to build up a portfolio of evidence for each unit.
There are five mandatory units:
Provide support for learning activities
Support children's development
Help to keep children safe
Contribute to positive relationships
Provide effective support for your colleagues
You will also be required to complete two optional units.
