Is the course for me?
This work-based program is designed for adults, age 19 and over, working in a transport office within the logistic industry or would like to move up into a managerial role. Your competence will be confirmed and validated by an independent assessor, enabling you to evidence your abilities to your employers. Experience carrying out route planning and scheduling is a requirement prior to start.

What will I learn?
Your assessor will closely observe your job performance, and identify any areas where you can improve. S/he will advise you on training, which can improve your skills and knowledge, and increase your efficiency and confidence within your role. Any training that is identified will be carried out on site, or arrangements will be made for you to attend course at the business school or another appropriate location.

How will I be assessed?
Dates for assessment are agreed in advance with you, your employer and the assessor. These will occur on average once a month throughout your program. You will be asked to produce product evidence (e.g. emails and schedules). You will be asked questions about your job, progress and proficiency.

What can I do after the course?
By successfully completing this program, you will have the advantage of new knowledge and confidence that will serve you well on the Managers CPC National Certificate. By achieving CPC certification, you will be able to apply for the appropriate licence to run a transport company as the transport manager.
