Professional Cookery City and Guilds Diploma 1
To work as a successful chef within the Hospitality Industry, it is essential to have a good foundation in a wide range of high quality cooking skills and be able to apply them across a range of contexts.

The course covers communication skills, healthy diet planning, kitchen based tuition including preparation of soups, fish, meats, rice dishes, pastas, sweets and pastries. We will also help you to enhance your IT and numeracy skills and in addition you will undertake an elementary food hygiene qualification.

This course includes a practical exam and written tests in short answer form.

Further Study/Employment
On completing the programme you may progress to the diploma level 2 course or enter employment.
