This course is designed for those who wish to gain the knowledge and practical skills required to take the first steps towards becoming a wood machinist.

Course Schedule:
One and a half days per week
Entry Requirements:
Level 1 Wood Occupations Craft Diploma and a basic level of Literacy and Numeracy broadly equivalent to GCSE Grade D.
You should be able to demonstrate an interest in the craft of wood machining, have a willingness to succeed. All students will be invited to an advisory interview prior to joining the course.
Assessment:
Practical and theory tests.
Gola online test.
Career Progression:
If you are currently employed within the wood machining industry, you may continue your studies, undertake the NVQ Level 2 in Machine Woodwork, and you would then be able to apply for a CSCS card.
