Course Content
The course entails:·Investigating contextual influences relating to Blouses or Shirts·Designing·Costing·Planning and managing the adaptation of a Bodice Block to the Working Design·Evaluating finished products.
The course will help students enhance their current skills and introduce them to new techniques and processes. Students will be able to develop their own project work, designing and creating their own individual blocks. Basic tools will be available, but students may wish to purchase their own tools as they develop their skills.
How will I be assessed?
Students will be assessed throughout the course on their designing, adaptation of Block, Testing their fit on Toiles and health and safety knowledge. Students will work towards gaining an award at Level 2.
What can I do next?
It will provide a strong foundation in Pattern Adaptation of the Bodice Block, allowing the learner to work independently to produce a well designed item of a saleable quality. The college offers a variety of Awards in Fashion at different levels.
