Applicants must be aged 18 or over at the beginning of the Course and should normally possess either a BTEC National Diploma in performing Arts or 2 A Level passes to the value of a minimum of 6 points. Alternative combinations of qualifications and experience may be acceptable and such cases will be considered individually on their merits. Entry will be determined by interview/audition.

Study Method:
This is a one year programme divided into two semesters. You will be required to study for a minimum of 35 hours per week - this will be made up of a mixture of lecturers, seminars, practical workshops and independent study, research and project work.
Duration :One year 2.5 days per weeks part time

Content:
This programme investigates innovative performing arts practices, predominantly for performers, directors, choreographers, arts managers, designers, stage managers and writers. All roles are studied in their historial, socio-cultural and political contexts, engaging with practitioners both past and present to explore all possibilities for creating live performance. You will have the opportuntity to continually test and apply your creativity in a variety of professional settings, from the Broadway Theatre to finge venues, to site-specific projects, to show in local schools or care homes. In this programme, you will mix practical work with written and verbal investigations in order to give you a complete and thorough knowledge of your subject. You will be encouraged to approach study in an independent and professional way. Your work will be placed in sites or contexts with specific contraints and assessed in front of real audiences. You are encouraged to share and develop practices with students from complementary disciplines whilst specilaising in theatre, dance or technical theatre.
