About this course
A minimum of 4 GCSE's at grade D or above (including maths), you will also need a good level of English to complete this course.

Who is the course for?
Students who have already completed Performing Engineering Operations Level 1 and wishing to further their studies.
What is the course about?
The course will cover the following topics:
Work on pratical projects in the workshop
Learning wiring, welding and machine operations
You will also study Engineering Environmental Awareness Principal Engineering Techniques.
Will I need anything else?
Overalls and Safety Boots must be worn in all workshop sesions.
Pens, pencils and ring binders are required.
All tools will be provided in practical sessions.
How long & often do I attend?
The course starts week beginning 17th September 2009 and runs for 16 hours per week for 36 weeks.
Minimum attendance is 90%
How will I be assessed?
Assessment of practical activities and the creation of a portfolio of evidence.
What opportunities will this lead to?
Following this course you can progress on to the National Diploma in Enngineering Level 3 (With the sufficient level of Maths) or enter employment in the Engineering industry.
