Want to be a Personal Trainer?

We have the perfect study option for you

All our personal training courses include the Level 2 Fitness Instructing (Gym) course. Contact us to discuss your options if you already hold your Level 2 Gym Instructing qualification.

Our personal trainer courses are great for... people who want a career in the fitness industry as a personal trainer. You do not need any qualifications to do this course although we do advise that you have some experience of using a gym.

With FIE personal trainer courses I can... gain employment in any of the major health club chains and independent fitness centres in the UK as well as qualify for entry on the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) at Level 3 which will also enable me to start my own personal training business.

During the personal trainer course I'll learn about... designing cardiovascular and resistance training programmes, all systems of the body, principles of training, physical activity promotion and health and safety. I will also learn how to design a progressive programme to meet clients goals, how to assess their fitness level, how to give advice on healthy eating and diet and how to setup and manage my own personal training business. If I choose the diploma option I will also learn about teaching circuit classes, group indoor cycling classes, training outdoors and I will also learn about GP and Exercise Referrals.

I'll study the personal trainer course... online or in the classroom. I can either work at my own pace, in my own time and from where I like or I can choose to attend a classroom course in London or Manchester. For the distance study course all I have to attend personally is the assessment day, the optional training days if I choose them or complete the practicum component in a local gym.

I will have access to... the online study guide anytime I wish to study as well as optional daily, tutor led eClasses. for the eClass timetable.

The personal trainer qualification I gain... is accredited by Active IQ with the option of a Central YMCA Qualifications Certificate, and is internationally recognized. This means I'll be able to travel throughout the UK, Europe and Australia and my qualifications will be fully recognized. (NB: Conditions Apply). All our personal training qualifications are also recognised by the National Register of Personal Trainers (NRPT).

I can start my personal trainer course... right now because I don't have to wait for a venue, tutor or other people! I work my way through each section of the course in order and because it's online, I'm able to study when it suits me. to view a short demonstration of how you will study your fitness course online.
