Course programme
You will be able to use text and photographic images, hand drawn or painted marks to construct a collage composition.
Your collage will be made into a positive transparency for the purposes of making a photo-etching plate.
Using a UV light exposure machine, you will expose your collage artwork in order to transfer it to a specially coated etching plate. This will be etched in nitric acid enabling you to take a range of experimental prints to take home.
We will cover the process from paper preparation to inking in the intaglio process and printing using an etching press.
