This practical course will introduce you to the basics of a film camera, and using film. We will look at the work of classic and contemporary photographers and discuss different approaches to making photographic images. We will spend some time on a photographic treasure hunt with plenty of expert guidance in using your camera. You will then process the film yourself and make contact sheets from which you will chose a series of images to print in the darkroom. You will learn the basics of printing the old fashioned way; enlarging, selecting grades, dodging and burning to bring the best out of your images.
