- What is a disability – perspectives/attitudes
Session 2
- The Disability Discrimination Act
- The Human Rights Act
- Advocacy
- Looked at from a Service User Prospective and a Carer Prospective
Session 3
- The Activities of Daily Living
HOMEWORK – to be completed before Session 4
Session 4
- How various physical disabilities will affect Activities of Daily Living
- The impact of Physical Disabilities on the Carer
- Stress Awareness
At the end of the 4 sessions candidates will be able to understand the following conditions and how they impact on an individual’s care needs. Care Workers will also understand the needs to enable and to facilitate the individual service user to fulfil their full potential.
The conditions covered will include:
