Course programme
Introduction
AMA has been training maritime security related courses since 1995 and has carried out training for companies both in the UK and abroad.
We have a great deal of operational experience with regard to Maritime Security Issues and understand the relevant international conventions and codes relating to Maritime Security.
The Course
The International Ship and Port Facility (ISPS) Code has far-reaching implications for personnel assigned responsibilities for the security and safety of ports and port facilities. Our Port Facility Security Officer training course is designed to equip Port facility security officers with the training necessary to meet their obligations under the ISPS Code. The course is delivered by highly experienced maritime security experts from former Marine, Military or Police backgrounds, authorised by TRANSEC to deliver these courses.
Course Content
The three day programme is designed to promote progressive learning through theory and practical training. We emphasise feedback through practical guidance and discussion. We understand the complexities of the Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) requirements and aim to help the PFSO, create, implement and exercise the Port Facility Security Plan. Our courses are compliant with current IMO requirements and approved by TRANSEC.
