Course Title: POVA for Adults
Overview:
The course will benefit all carers who work with the elderly/vulnerable/children in both the care home and domiciliary
setting.
It will explain the many different forms that abuse can take and what your immediate action should be to protect the individual.
Course Content:
The course covers:
- Human rights
- Definition of abuse
- Signs and symptoms of abuse
- How to protect individuals
- Employers and employees responsibility
- Legislation surrounding POVA
We will also cover the Whistle Blowing Procedure, alerting,
reporting and referrals.
