About this course
No formal qualifications are required. You must be 20 years of age or over and be motivated and committed to the course. You need to be working at level 1 in literacy and numeracy. You will be asked to complete an assessment task and an informal interview with a member of the Access team.

Course Content:
You will study a number of modules which will help you to prepare for an Access course. You will also have the chance to gain GCSE English.
Other Information:
The progression certificate is made up of modules that are validated by the Open Network of the West Midlands. The course will help you build up you confidence to get you back into studying again. You may be advised to do this course before starting the Access to Higher Education programme. Please be aware that this course may also be available over 2 years, depending on the number of hours studied each week.
Progression:
Successful students may progress to the Access programme or another college course.
