Suitable for: This course is suitale for anyone who would like to gain a teaching qualification relevant to the life long sector. This fully accredited course, which serves as threshold licence for teaching and training in the post compulsory education sector and work based training. The course also provides recognition by Institute for Learning (IFL) and criteria for membership upon successful completion. Learners should normally hold or be working towards at least a minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent in their own area of specialism before beginning this qualification.

This qualification satisfies the government requirement for Teachers, Tutors and trainers in the Associate Teacher role to hold a Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
This qualifications aim to equip learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding required for teaching in the Lifelong Learning sector. The objectives of the qualifications are to help learners to:
-understand the roles and responsibilities of the teacher
-understand appropriate teaching and learning approaches within
-a specialist area plan, deliver and evaluate a micro-teach session
-understand the use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping
Each learner must deliver at least one micro teach session which should be observed and assessed by a member of the delivery team. In addition, learners can either deliver additional microteaching sessions or observe the microteaching sessions of other learners.
As DSM classes are kept small to ensure that learners recieve individualised support and assistance to successfully achieve the qualification. Our team have a wealth of experience and are current practitioners.
