Primary Education, BA - 2016/17

If you’ve answered yes to these important questions then join us as a Canterbury Partnership Teacher! The BA (Hons) in Primary Education leads to an honours degree and the professional qualification of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), enabling you to begin your teaching career as a newly qualified teacher (NQT) equipped with the necessary subject knowledge, skills and understanding to start your career as a primary practitioner. Through an integrated programme of academic and professional practice learning, by the end of your three years, you will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of children’s development and apply this in your own practice. In addition you will have a strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and will have the confidence to teach in innovative ways that excite and motivate children. Applicants for the BA (Hons) in Primary Education can apply for the 3-7 age or 5-11 age range. Students graduating from this course will be qualified to teach the whole of the primary phase.
