Course programme

This course is designed to support you in achieving the standards to be a Qualified Teacher, with a focus on primary mathematics. It is written for anyone who enjoys learning mathematics and wants to teach children to fully understand and be fascinated by the subject. The course will enable you to be a generalist primary class teacher but will also prepare you to be a specialist teacher of primary mathematics who leads mathematics across the school. You will study primary mathematics in depth, exploring the most effective ways of teaching mathematical ideas. You will also gain a strong understanding and experience of teaching other subjects. The duration of the course, the number of assignments and fees will be as for the fulltime generic BA (Hons) Primary Education.
