Truth
Truth is our beginning, the first and most important thing to continually remind ourselves of as we venture forward. In this lesson we explore the fundamental idea that our perspective is limited, giving us an access to humility, peace and curiosity to always find another angle.
Stages of Learning, The Cycle of Knowledge & Blind Spots
In this next lesson we set the foundation for knowledge itself. How do we learn? What are the different kinds of knowledge? What does it mean to have a "Blind Spot" and how can we profit from it?
The Power of Language preview In this next lesson we continue our foundation with another important building block: language. As human beings we exist in both the physical, material world and in an invisible matrix of meaning, words, agreements and information. This invisible world often dictates our behavior, emotions and experience - so it is vital to master our relationship to it if we want to live a Dynamic life.
BONUS Resource: The Lava LampThe Lava Lamp metaphor is a fantastic mental model for meaninglessness. To see change in our life as just change has been a timeless practice since ancient times and the mark of a masterful mind. Below is a simple, short relaxation video that zooms up close to a lava lamp in HD with music. Enjoy and use it to anchor yourself back in ultimate reality beyond perception and language - that stuff is just moving around with other stuff :)
BONUS Resource: The Dance of Life Podcast - Episode 122
Below you can listen to the podcast episode I was referring to in this lesson regarding integrity, keeping your word, creative language (vs. descriptive) and using words to create reality. Remember that you have the power to change what things mean to you and to check in to that Lava Lamp every so often when life's chatter becomes overwhelming.
BONUS Resource: The Landmark Forum
There are many wonderful programs for personal growth out there and, in the realm of language and meaning, Landmark has played a significant role in helping me transform my life. If this lesson opened something up for you, I suggest pursuing further work and research through one of Landmark's weekend-long experiences. It changed my life and I'm sure it will change yours, too.

Duality
The Principle of Duality is one of the major foundations of this entire course and for all of reality around us. Here we will dive into this concept, look at several ways that it can be understood and explore it's conclusions in the coming lessons.
Interdependence
One of the first conclusions as a result of realizing we exist in a realm ruled by Duality is that everything is related to everything else. In this interdependent world nothing is truly isolated, and this simple idea alone offers us several powerful insights to manage our mind during times of stress. BONUS Resource: The Hoberman SphereIf you want to get the Hoberman Sphere I used in this lesson,
you can buy it here
. Enjoy your newfound appreciation for Duality and Interdependence :).
Reciprocity
In a world of interrelated parts, one of the Principles governing the action between these said parts is Reciprocity. It teaches us that everything is acting and simultaneously being acted upon, offering us wisdom when our mind often slips into loneliness, ego or feeling lost in a seemingly disconnected world.
Proportion
Another valuable perspective on Interdependence, the Principle of Proportion teaches us valuable insights about the relationship between our effort and what happens in life with the people and things around us. One of those insights is the Law of Diminishing Returns and another is the simple idea that "You Get What You Put In." Both of these perspectives bring the responsibility back to us and empower us to take action according to what we want to create out of life.
Compensation
The Principle of Compensation is the final perspective on Interdependence and it states that the Universe is a self-correcting system, accounting for your imbalances and actions with equal and opposite reactions. This is the law of Karma in spiritual practice and the law of homeostasis in scientific practice. It's all the simple idea that things will tend to even themselves out in an interdependent system because everything affects everything else. In a system of interdependent parts, action begets action and cause begets effect. From this framework we can take many useful insights about our own actions within this system and how to behave so that we are always in alignment.
Impermanence
The final big idea for our Dynamic Foundations is the Principle of Impermanence. This is simply the Law of Change, that all things are in continual flux and never the same thing in any given instance of time. This is a profound aspect of our reality and one that we must connect to often, as our minds attach to the world around us and suffer from trying to control it. Getting in touch with Impermanence has changed my life and it is an endless source of mystery, awe and sense of appreciation for this magical game we live in. This will be a powerful principle for the chapters ahead and for the rest of your life, so study it well.
