You must be aged over 19 and have lived in the EU for the past 3 years and currently be living in England. There is a short initial assessment to complete to ensure the course is the right level for you.

Course programme

Year 1

This course consists of the following five mandatory units:

Unit 1: Understanding end of life care
Unit 2: Communication during end of life care
Unit 3: Assessment and care planning in end of life care
Unit 4: Person-centred approaches to end of life care
Unit 5: Care during the final hours of life and bereavement care.

Additional information

You will receive a resource pack containing two textbooks and two workbooks with submission dates for each part. You are assessed on the answers you supply within the workbooks. This is a knowledge-based course and you will receive feedback on your answers and guidance on how to complete any resubmissions you might have. This could be via post or email. There are no observations or exams.
