Is this course right for me?

This course is designed for industrial and office workers who handle materials, boxes, mail and packages. It covers the hazards of manual handling, the risks involved and the controls available.

What will I be learning?

It covers : * The process of manual handling in the workplace; * Manual handling injuries and the activities that cause them; * Manual handling assessment and control options; * Responsibilities imposed by the Manual Handling Operations Regulations

How will I learn?

Classroom based group workshop for half a day followed by an examination in the final session.

What else might I want to know?

Examination is by a short multiple-choice paper. Successful delegates will be awarded the CIEH Certificate in Principles of Manual Handling.

What can I do afterwards?

On completion of this course you may be interested in enrolling on one of our First Aid or Health & Safety courses.
