An HND or Foundation Degree (FdA) in a related subject area. You must also have completed the LCC bridging course which prepares you for entry to the 'top-up' year of this degree course.

Content
The course builds upon prior knowledge and skills in printing and publishing with a focus on strategic technology and management studies.
Course units cover areas including:
- The drivers of change in the print media industry
- Advances in print and digital media
- Finance and marketing strategies
- The management of quality in products and services
The course provides opportunities for you to specialise in an area of special interest in the Major Project, an extended piece of self managed research and writing. The Major Project will enable you to identify a topic area, which you can study in depth. Many of the best projects are linked to industry and we encourage and support students in seeking collaborative industry projects.

The teaching and learning strategies used in the programme have an important role to play in enabling you to fulfil the aims and objectives of your chosen course. The strategies employed will encourage you not only to focus on what you are learning, but to reflect on how you are learning.

The course is assessed through written assignments and a final Major Project.
