He is a professional of the social professions who works in various fields: disability, addiction, prison system, minors, families or the elderly. Given the breadth of the sectors of intervention, in fact, the role of the educator has assumed great importance also within non-profit organizations, leaving the operational sphere strictly linked to the public service only. The basis of study to undertake a career as a professional educator can start already from high school, choosing a social and psycho-pedagogical address. However, we know well that the choice of high school occurs at a very young age and it is difficult, at 14, have clear ideas about their professional future. For this reason, it is university education that makes the difference. In this sense, in terms of the law, it is necessary to choose one of these two paths: a three-year degree course in Professional Health Educator (Class SNT / 02) and a three-year degree course for professional educators (Class L19).
