Theory Sessions
These sessions will be carried out by our instructors, where students will observe various demonstrations covering most aspects of tiling. You will be shown techniques in nipping, cutting, applying patterns, marking out, mixing adhesives, grouting, general do's and donts, removing tiles and helpful hints and tips. Nicobond Discussion Session Nicobond are a national manufacturer and supplier of adhesives, grouts, trims and general tile materials. A representative from Nicobond will visit the course during your 2 week training and give advice on using the correct adhesives for wood floors, concrete floors, plasterboard walls, chipboard walls and various surfaces. The representative will be on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding trims, grouts and tiling materials in general. Working In Your Own Bay A large part of the course will be hands on experience, every student will be allocated their own bathroom & kitchen bay where they will learn how tile both floors and walls working around various obstacles such as toilets, basins, pipes, plugs and switches. Our instructors will be on hand to help out with any problems or queries students may come across throughout the bay work. Course Overview The final day will be spent going over the course and touching on any issues or questions students may have, additional demonstrations will be carried out by instructors if required to recap on any previous lessons.
