Students need to be able to show that they can work well in a group and on their own, have respect for all and show that they have problem solving skills
Entry RequirementsCity & Guilds/ IMI progression Award in Automotive Servicing and Repair Level 2. Applicants will be invited for an interview to determine their suitability for the course.
Course Content
This full time course offers advanced study in servicing, using up-to-date vehicles and rigs,interpreting technical information,repair,replacement and manual skills and health,safety and welfare in the working environment.
There are a range of learning options to suit student's needs and abilities:·Health & Safety·Engine systems diagnostics·Chassis systems diagnostics·Transmission systems diagnostics·Electrical systems diagnostics

Students need to supply boots, overalls, and two text books. These will be shown to you on induction.
This is a one year course where students attend college two days a week.
How will I be assessed?
Students complete four on-line exams and a number of practical tasks. It is also required that students complete basic/key skills to a level two standard.
What can I do next?
This qualification will allow students opportunities for employment within the motor vehicle service industry or to move on to other qualifications including Level 2 Bodywork course and Level 4 Automotive course.
