Did you know that in 2014 there were over 4,000 hospital admissions for anaphylactic shock in England?
Anaphylaxis is a severe and life-threatening allergic reaction, which requires immediate medical attention. Every year, the number of those suffering from anaphylaxis is increasing – making it more and more important for people to know what to do when encountering someone who is having an anaphylactic shock.

About this course
This QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis (RQF) course has been designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, at home, as a volunteer or out in the community, to provide basic life support and manage anaphylaxis when dealing with an emergency.
Successful applicants will be able to recognise the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis and will be equipped with the vital skills needed to administer safe, prompt and effective treatment.
Severe Anaphylactic Shock is treated with an Adrenaline Auto-Injector. During this course we will be practicing the use of all three of the UK’s Adrenaline Auto-Injectors.
No previous first aid experience is necessary to do this course.
Basic English is needed as the course is taught in English.
Candidates need to be able to get to the floor for some of the practical work (CPR).
This course is an Ofqual accredited qualification certified by Qualsafe Awards. Successful candidates will receive a nationally recognised certificate which is valid for one year.
There are not many courses around where you can learn about Anaphylaxis, the treatment of Anaphylaxis and get to practice with different Adrenaline Auto-Injectors (EpiPen, Emerade, Jext).
This course can be done as a stand alone, or as part of another course.
Contact can be made via telephone or email. Bookings can be made via telephone or email, or by using PayPal on our website http://pochattraining.co.uk/basic-life-support-and-management-of-anaphylaxis/
