An introduction (or re-introduction) to playing recorder, in a friendly group setting. Develop your skill and confidence in playing. Suitable for beginners, regardless of previous musical experience. This course continues with module 2.

About this course
- Know the fingering for the notes of C and D / F and G major used on the recorder (descant and/or treble)
- Play the recorder with some control of breath, articulation and intonation
- Play tunes on your own or with a group
- Identify different styles and periods in recorder music
- Read basic music notation in the treble clef.
Please bring your instrument(s), as well as a notebook, pencil and eraser.
Please bring your own copy of Brian Bonsor, Enjoy the Recorder Book I (descant or treble) [approx. cost £6.50]. This book will be used for Level 1: modules 1 & 2. Additional music will be supplied by the tutor.
