Response to Redundancy is a programme which offers information, advice and guidance those at risk of redundancy or to those who have been made redundant in the past six months. It gives support to review existing skills and can provide appropriate training to improve opportunities in the job market.
To access the training it is necessary for each beneficiary to have an information, and advice session with one of our skills advisers, which will last roughly one hour. During the advice session the adviser will:
- Assess your current skills
- Discuss your desired career path
- Discuss training options to improve existing skills or change career direction.
Additionally, Response to Redundancy can provide outplacement training workshops. These cover things like CV preparation, job search and interview techniques. Normally one-to-one sessions and workshops take place on the company's premises but if this is not possible we will arrange them at a location convenient for you.
If your one-to-one information and advice session identifies training to help improve your job prospects, Response to Redundancy may be able to offer funding to support the training, or link you with the other funded support in the region.
