This course introduces students to the history and tropes of the teen film. Students will explore various readings of both well-loved classics and overlooked cinematic gems. Through analysis of clips and images from films ranging from The Wild One to Heathers, you will gain an understanding of how to read teen films with more depth and subtlety than the average cinemagoer.

The sessions will be interactive and discussion based, requiring you to analyse clips and images in class and feed them back to the other class members. There is no work outside the class.
