Description
At Sedbergh CDC we organise a wide range of courses for adults in the Sedbergh, Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale areas. We are working closely with Settlebeck High School and Sedbergh Primary School, Queen Katherine School in Kendal and Queen Elizabeth School in Kirkby Lonsdale to create a "learning triangle" that covers the South East corner of Cumbria. Most of our courses are supported by Cumbria Adult Education Service.We began running IT courses in 1998 as part of the Cumbria CREDITS initiative. In 2001 we took over organising the Adult Education course programme at Settlebeck High School and started building up a very successful range of courses. We extended our area of provision in 2007 when we began to offer courses in Kirkby Lonsdale. Early in 2008 we were asked to take over managing the community education programme at Queen Katherine School, Kendal. This has given the opportunity to present a wider range of subjects than ever before. ...
