2. Course description You will study the following modules:  • exploring business skills and research • human resource management in the service sector • marketing strategy for services • contemporary issues • strategic business environment • dissertation • project, programme and portfolio management There is a strong emphasis on getting you ready for the workplace and your career ahead. You'll develop the skills that employers are looking for in their management graduates ranging from presentation skills, report writing, problem solving to analytical skills. We have strong links with local, national and international companies such as Servisair, Thomas Cook, East Midlands Airport, Manchester Airport, the National Trust, Centreparcs, Hilton Hotels Group and Nottingham Forest FC. You will also have the opportunity to put your organisational and team working skills into practice by organising an annual HE conference involving key speakers from the industry.

Entry requirements You will need (or expect to achieve) one of the following: • Foundation Degree (FdA) • Higher National Diploma (HND) • Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) You should also have relevant industry experience. Mature students with relevant experience and/or qualifications in a relevant area are welcome to apply. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method You will be assessed through individual and group assignments, group presentations, research assignments and examinations. An individual dissertation is an essential part of the course.
