Developing your already intermediate sewing skills with flexible guidance from an industry professional. You are encouraged to bring your own projects to work on them in class.Some ideas of projects to bring might be: alterations, more complex patterns to fit and then make, difficult fabrics to work with, such as silk, chiffon etcPlease be aware that there will be up to 12 people in the class, and so tutor time will be divided accordingly.

About this course
- Create an individual work plan for 4 sessions, with the goal of completing your project- Develop a range of new skills in your chosen area- Complete a project or aspect of a project to a professional standard.
Bring your own project, and any necessary items to complete it, such as fabric, zips, thread etc. Further advice on what you’ll need can be discussed in the first session.Fabric for samples and practising etc will be supplied. Bring a notebook and pen to keep your notes in and a small folder or plastic sleeve for any hand outs. Through demonstrations, discussions, workshop practice, one to one instruction and guidance. Some tasks may need to be undertaken at home in order to be completed.

Course programme
With individual use of a Bernina sewing machine, the tutor will discuss your project with you and help you to create a work plan for achieving your goals during the sessions. The sessions will be tailored to your needs, please do bear in mind that there will be a maximum of 12 people in the class, so the tutors time will be divided accordingly. Very complex projects will therefore likely take a lot longer to complete.
