About this course

Proof of Identity The minimum age requirement for SIA training or SIA licence is 18 years. Applicants for SIA training or SIA licence are required to produce at least one photo identity document. This can be Passport of any nationality or UK photo driving licence plus two forms of proof of address dated within the last 3 months from the date of SIA training application or SIA licence application.

SIA Door Supervisors Level 2

Duration: 4 days

Since the introduction of the SIA Licensing law 2003, a Level 2 National Certificate in Door Supervision is required in orderto work in the Security Industry. Our team, which consists of highly qualified trainers, will help you to gain the necessary understanding in the field and guide you through the licensing process.

The qualification and experience you get through the training will cover:

In order to obtain an SIA licence you will need to show that you are trained to the right level. This applies to front-line staff only.To get one of the qualifications linked to door supervisor licensing, you will need to attend and takefour training modulesand pass four exams. The course may be delivered over 38 guided learning hours, 30 hours of which should be contact hours (as detailed below).

Course Content

Core Learning for Common Security Industry Knowledge (10 hours of which 5 hours must be contact time)

Session 1: The Private Security Industry
Session 2: Communication Skills and Customer Care
Session 3: Awareness of the Law in the Private Security Industry
Session 4: Health and Safetyfor the Private Security Operative
Session 5: Fire Safety Awareness
Session 6: Emergency Procedures

Door Supervisor Specialist Module (10 hours of which all must be contact time)

Session 1: Introduction
Session 2: The Door Supervisor and the Law

Session 4: Licensing Law

Session 7: Recording incidents and crime scene preservation
Session 8: Emergency Procedures

Conflict Management Module (8 hours of which 7 ½ hours must becontact time)
