AM2

West London Training is an approved AM2 test centre.

We offer 1 day revision training sessions to prepare candidates for the AM2 assessment, which lasts three days. Resits (full and partial) are also available if required.

The AM2 test is a mandatory part of Advanced Apprenticeships in Electrical Installation framework. It may also be undertaken as part of the City & Guilds NVQ 3 in Electrical Installation, required to achieve JIB Grading.

The Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2) test is a three day practical assessment covering a range of electrical tasks, divided into four sections:

• A - Installation

o A1: Composite installation
o A2: Visual inspection
o A3: Functional operation

• B - Inspection & testing of the composite installation

• C - Safe Isolation

o C1: Safe isolation of test unit (including risk assessment)
o C2: Safe isolation of supplies

• D - Fault Diagnosis & Rectification

o D1: Fault diagnosis
o D2: Fault rectification
