Course Description
This course is a taught course of one year duration comprising nine topics covering the structure of modern Britain. Students are taught for 4.5 hours per week.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs Grade D, incl. English. (Maths D for some courses). Or Pass in Level 1 Vocational Qual., Merit for BTECs, plus Key Skills Level 1 Comm. (App. of Number for some courses) or equivalent. Diplomas require Functional Skills in ICT, Maths and English.

Assessment: You will be assessed through one 2 or 2 half hour papers, plus coursework which comprises one research project. This course will give you the ability to discuss important social issues, write essays and carry out independent research.
