Welcome to the Specialist Biomechanics Coach workshop in association with Intelligent Training Systems. This one of a kind course is designed for level 3 Personal Trainers who wish to advance their skills in screening clients and prescribing exercise that will help improve their function.
It is the third and final module in the Specialist Biomechanics Coaching Diploma. You will need to have completed module one (Biomechanics Coach) and module two (Advanced Biomechanics Coach) before you are able to apply for this workshop.
Once you have completed this workshop you will be registered with ITS as a Specialist Biomechanics Coach. If you have already completed an Exercise Referral course you will also be able to be level 4 qualified with REPS.
What will I learn?
This module focuses on back care and follows the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines on the management of low back pain. Upon completion of this module you will receive a REPs accredited Level 4 Back Pain qualification. You will learn about back pathology and how to adapt exercises and screening for those with low back pain. You will also attend a cadaver session in the anatomy lab at Keele University Medical School to learn in more depth about applied anatomy.
By the end of this module you will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to create an individualised exercise programme based on an individuals screening results and previous biomechanical history
- Demonstrate excellent coaching skills to enable your client/patient to understand your findings
